Hi, I’m Wade Smith.

I have worked in the behavioral health care field concentrating on mental health and addictions in nearly every clinical setting for over 40 years. I worked at Jesse Brown Veteran Administration Medical Hospital for the last 15 years doing primary outpatient therapy for veterans and their partners. However, I also have experience in the emergency department and inpatient psychiatric unit.

My primary therapeutical focus involves acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as a blend of other cognitive, behavioral approaches. I also work with dual diagnosis treatment and work with adult children from addictive and trauma based families.

I believe in meeting the client where they are at, and working collaboratively to create the best plan for their success. My goal is to leave clients feeling like they are fully self-actualized and have the tools they need to sustain a healthy mental space.

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my wife, five kids, my grandchildren, and our black lab named Koda. I love working on home improvement projects and visiting family. Sailing, murder mystery novels, and watching Brit Box police shows are passions that help keep me at peace with myself.
